Cancellation of exclusion periods – Amber Zone 1 & Amber Zone 2 (including part of the Anne Beadell Highway) – March & April 2022
The Department of Defence is cancelling the following exclusion period in the Woomera Prohibited Area (WPA):
– Amber Zone 1 – scheduled from 7 March to 10 April 2022 inclusive; and
– Amber Zone 2 – Corridor (including part of the Anne Beadell Highway) – scheduled from 21 March to 10 April 2022 inclusive.
Permit holders will no longer be required to evacuate the Amber Zone 1 or Amber Zone 2 area during this period. Standard access conditions continue to apply for the WPA. Some areas within the WPA also require separate access permission from Traditional Owners and conservation parks. Please refer to the information at: www.defence.gov.au/woomera/.

Exclusion period to the end of June 2022 for Amber Zone 1 remains in force
The following Amber Zone 1 exclusion period remains in force:
- 23 May to 5 June 2022 inclusive.

Those seeking to access the Woomera Prohibited Area are also encouraged to check the confirmed exclusion period dates, which are published on the Federal Register of Legislation at https://www.legislation.gov.au.
