Flinders and Upper North – COVID-19 Clinics.
Dedicated Respiratory/ Virus (COVID-19) clinics will open at the Port Augusta and Whyalla Health Services from Wednesday 18th of March 2020.These clinics are for people who have COVID-19 symptoms (especially fever or cough) AND have recently returned from overseas OR have had contact with a known COVID-19 case.By testing and referring suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19, these clinics will take pressure off our Emergency Departments in the event of an outbreak and help to minimise the spread of infection.
These clinics are drive-through centres and where possible assessment and testing will take place with the patient still in the vehicle, minimising the risk of spreading the infection.
This will support GPs who may not be able to perform the test in their own clinic.
Patients are required to book in to this services and will require a referral from a GP.
If you meet the above criteria and are not able to access a GP please call the Health Service to discuss your options.
Whyalla Clinic.
Operating Hours: Monday – Friday 12-3 pm
Location: Wood Terrace entrance opposite Roberts Terrace, drive through ramp area.
Please stay in your vehicle until you are assessed by Health Care staff
Bookings are essential: please contact your GP who will arrange an appointment. Your GP will fax a signed pathology request form to the Health Service.
Port Augusta Clinic
Operating hours: Monday – Friday 1-3 pm
Location – Behind Hospital Administration Building access via Giles Street entrance.

Quorn, Hawker, Roxby Downs and Leigh Creek Health Services have arrangements for screening and testing potential COVID -19 patients, please contact the Health Services for further information.
