The Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation is pleased to launch the inaugural Kokatha Art Development Project – Roxby Downs.

The project is jointly funded by Roxby Council and BHP’s Community Donations Grants program.

Kokatha artists are invited to enter their designs for a painting or sculpture that depicts the Kokatha connection to Roxby Downs.

There are three categories:

• Traditional Food
• Partnerships and Connections
• Recreation/Sport Lifestyle

Artists are welcome to enter as many categories as they would like.

Three painting designs and one sculpture design will be commissioned by Roxby Council and another 16 entries will be chosen for an exhibition.

The artists chosen for the commissions will receive $5000 for each painting and $20,000 for the sculpture.

Entries close Friday 3 December.
