We are very pleased to advise that KAC successfully completed recruitment for this vital management position. The Kokatha Pastoral Operations Manager role has previously been outsourced, but the Board of Directors agreed the time was right to bring it in house as part of KAC’s ongoing strategic commitment to build capacity within the corporation and community.
Mr Tony Freshwater accepted the position following a very competitive recruitment process.
Tony will come to KAC with more than 30 years experience in the pastoral industry in various management capacities. This includes over 10 years’ experience in Indigenous pastoral and tourism businesses as senior manager, working in collaboration with industry, Native Title Holders, Traditional Owners and the wider community. His most recent employment has been with the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC) as the Operations Manager for Banka Banka West Station in the Northern Territory, and the Manager of the North West Indigenous Pastoral Project in South Australia. Tony also has a long association with KAC and Kokatha Pastoral, having supported staff, Directors and operations and having facilitated the development of the 2020-25 KP business plan- a plan he will now have operational responsibility to implement on behalf of the Kokatha Enterprises Board.
Tony started in this role on Monday 30th August and we look are delighted to have him joining the KAC Team.
