Adelaide Brighton Cement is offering the right candidate an exciting career opportunity as a Laboratory Technician based at its Birkenhead Plant.
◾ ABOUT THE POSITION
Adbri is known for the consistent quality of its products. The company has an exciting opportunity for a trainee to learn how to conduct compliance testing on cement and construction materials. This will involve preparing samples, a broad range of chemical and physical testing, calibration of equipment and computer-based analysis.
The successful trainee will follow established procedures, working in a systematic, methodical, and safe manner to deliver accurate testing results as part of a friendly and supportive team.
This traineeship is about learning on the job. While a formal qualification is not required, Adbri can support you to obtain a Certificate III in Laboratory Skills.
◾ KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
A general interest in science, basic computer literacy and a commitment to safety and quality are important.
◾ SALARY
$53,895 plus 10.5 per cent superannuation.
◾ FUTURE DEVELOPMENT
Opportunity of a full-time permanent role as a Laboratory Technician at the end of the traineeship as a kickstart to a fulfilling career in the industry.
To be successful in this traineeship you will be required to complete pre-employment checks including medical, references and police check.
