Lake Torrens Statement

The KAC Board of Directors and Culture and Heritage Committee (CHC) members are disappointed with the decision made by the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Steven Marshall. The decision is unsatisfactory, and represents a conflict of interest. The Board and CHC strongly opposes all mining related activities or any interference on Lake Torrens.

On 18 March the Board and CHC will meet to discuss progressing upcoming legal action determined following comprehensive legal advice.
