Melinda Forrest – Office Administrator/Board Secretariat

Working at KAC is Melinda’s first employment opportunity since leaving school and having started as a casual receptionist/admin assistant in 2018 she has now become a recognisable face of the Admin team for all who make contact with the KAC offices. Melinda is currently in the latter stages of her Traineeship and is due to finalise her Certificate 3 In Business Administration by the end of 2020.
Melinda’s day to day job incorporates all aspects of the Administration of the KAC offices such as Event Coordination, dealing with community requests and enquiries, processing Charitable Trust Claims, as well as supporting the Office Manager in Finances Services also. In 2020 she took on the additional role of Board Secretariat.
One of the aspects of her role that Melinda enjoys most is the being able to help her community, whether it be assisting them with applications to access funds or support, or answering their questions.
Melinda, is currently focussed on finishing her Traineeship before then turning her drive to building more skills, developing more knowledge and ultimately assisting her community even more.
