Yesterday saw the start of National NAIDOC Week 2021 (4-11 July). We pay our respects to Australia’s First Nations people and the custodians of this land which was never ceded. It always was & always will be Aboriginal land.
The 2021 Theme: Heal Country invites us all to embrace our First Nations cultural knowledge and understanding of country, and to work together to recognise, protect and maintain all aspects of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and heritage.
These truths can bring us together to heal country and therefore begin to heal as a country. Only when our connections are based on truth can they be founded in respect.
Some events have been postponed due to the recent tightening of restrictions in South Australia regarding COVID-19 however there are many ways still to get involved.
