Pika Wiya provides a community health service for all Aboriginal people within our region whether or not they are registered or non-registered members of our health service.
Have you considered becoming a member?
All Aboriginal people living within the Pika Wiya service catchment area i.e. Port Augusta, Hawker, Roxby Downs, Leigh Creek, Nepabunna, Maree are encouraged to apply to become a member.
When people become a registered Member they have the right to vote at the AGM and at a Special General Meetings on Health issues that is important to them, their family and the wider Aboriginal community.
As a member they can also apply to become a Director on the PWHS Board of Management.
Please find attached Membership Application Form and the PWHS (ORIC) Rule Book, if you could assist with encouraging new members to apply it would be most appreciated.
I look forward to being invited to meet with individual Native Title Traditional Owner groups and Aboriginal Community Organisations to promote PWHS and to encourage new members applications.
