Recognised Aboriginal Representative Body

Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation (KAC) is pleased to advise the community that the recent Recognised Aboriginal Representative Body (RARB) application submitted by the Board of Directors has been accepted by the State Aboriginal Heritage Committee and the process of granting RARB status has commenced.

If successful, KAC would be the third corporation in South Australia to be granted RARB status after Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) and Maralinga Tjarutja (MT) were granted RARB status at the proclamation of changes to the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1988 (AHA) on 17 October 2017.

More information on what RARB status will mean for the Kokatha community and its stakeholders can be found at

or by contacting KAC Heritage Services Manager, Mr Glen Wingfield.
