We are pleased to advise that the Kokatha Charitable Trust Trustees met from the 18-20th November and processed a record number of applications for Lifestyle funding. Unfortunately due to the oversubscription of this funding round, with over 400 applications for more than double the funds available, some people will miss out this time. The Trustees have advised that they prioritised applications on the basis of:
1. Distribution across all family groups
2. First time applicants
3. First time Elders (55 and over) applicants
4. Elders
5. Second time applicants
6. Applications for household furniture, and will be assessed re need, equity and dignity.
Our office staff are doing their best to advise all applicants of the outcome of their applications as soon as possible. To make this quicker, unsuccessful applicants will be advised in writing.
Please remember our staff do not manage the Trust or its outcomes, and we have access to the same information as you do.
If you have comments or complaints you can go to https://kokatha.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Comments-Complaints-Form.pdf and submit your form for the attention of the Trustees. If you would like assistance completing this form it is available to you in our Port Augusta Office or on the phone at (08)8642 2068.
You can hear more about the Kokatha Charitable Trust at our AGM on Saturday 14thDecember.
