Invitation from Connected Beginnings Port Augusta
Thanks to everyone who came along to the workshop with the Department for Child Protection (DCP) on Tuesday night. It was a great start together.
It’s time to keep the yarn going – so this coming Tuesday night 3-9pm the DCP team are all coming out to a cook up. We are keeping it simple, it’s just sitting around a fire together, having a feed, and a chance for community members to share their stories, and to get to know each other better. It’s about yarning about what’s going on, and how to find better ways forward.
It’s not easy, and we know it will take some time. But we need to start somewhere.
Everyone is welcome to come along. We want you all to come along.
We’ll meet at 3pm in the carpark off the Stuart Highway (North Tent Hill Rest Area). It’s the first rest area on the Stuart Highway after Port Augusta, about 34km up the highway. We’ll have some sort of flag there to make it clear.
You can also find directions at:

We’ll have some chairs out there, but if people want to bring a chair, that would be awesome. If you need a lift out there and back. Please let us know and we’ll organise something.
If you have any worries or questions, please reach out – really happy to yarn.
Michael
