A MESSAGE FROM THE KAC CHAIRPERSON
I personally want to say thank you to our Kokatha community, our hardworking KAC staff and our CEO John Hender, for a really successful AGM and Common Law Holders’ Meeting in Port Augusta this weekend.

It was wonderful to see so many of you there showing your support for the Board and for the positive direction our Corporation is heading in.

Congratulations to our newly elected Directors Glen Wingfield and Denise Thomas, and to our re-elected Directors Joyleen Thomas and Michael Turner. It’s great to have so much knowledge and experience on the Board and it really shows the support from our community that you have chosen to re-elect them.

I’m also really pleased that we had record attendance this year.
The whole weekend ran smoothly, including the voting and sign ins.

These events are getting better every year and that’s thanks to everyone working together.

A big congratulations as well to the new members of the Trustee Advisory Committee and the Culture and Heritage Committee. I look forward to working with you over the next 12 months.

I’m excited for the year ahead and for the important work we’re doing on progressing our Strategic Plan, providing a clear road map to where we are heading. We’ve made some strong progress and I’m looking forward to keeping that momentum going.

Thanks again to everyone who came along and supported the weekend. It always brings me joy to see such strong Kokatha pride at our AGMs.

From Nyani Thomas
