CULTURAL AWARENESS TRAINING

Our cultural awareness programs are designed to increase knowledge and appreciation of Kokatha history, culture, and contemporary issues. These sessions:

  • Are tailored for organisations and staff at all levels;
  • Include presentations, discussions, and interactive activities;
  • Highlight the importance of cultural safety, respect, and understanding;
  • Help organisations meet their legal and ethical obligations to Indigenous peoples.

CULTURAL IMMERSION EXPERIENCES

To deepen connection and learning, KAC offers immersive cultural experiences on Kokatha Country. These may include:

  • Guided visits to significant sites;
  • Traditional storytelling and sharing of cultural knowledge;
  • Demonstrations of cultural practices such as ochre use, ceremony, or art;
  • Opportunities to engage directly with Kokatha Elders and cultural leaders.

Immersion experiences foster personal and organisational growth through direct engagement with Kokatha culture in its living context.

KOKATHA BUSINESS CONSULTING REGISTER

KAC maintains a Business Cultural Service Register that lists qualified Kokatha cultural consultants, facilitators, and service providers available to support projects and partnerships.

The register helps organisations:

  • Access skilled and trusted Kokatha cultural experts;
  • Ensure cultural services are delivered by recognised Traditional Owners;
  • Promote Kokatha employment and capacity-building;
  • Support culturally appropriate project outcomes.
