BUSINESS CONTACTS REGISTER
Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation (KAC) RNTBC is seeking expressions of interest for the Kokatha community to answer the growing demand for cultural activities from our stakeholders. The Business Contacts Register offers stakeholders a point of contact to engage with Kokatha people who are interested in taking part in cultural activities.
ONLY REGISTERED KOKATHA MEMBERS AND COMMON LAW HOLDERS may join the Business Contacts Register.
KAC may provide additional administrative support if requested to ensure the needs of stakeholders and Kokatha people providing a service are met in a timely manner. This includes transport, travel allowance, fees and administrative support.
Kokatha key deliverables include but are not limited to:
· Welcome to Country performances
· Cultural respect training
· Heritage training
· Story telling
· Painting
· Music
· Language
· Traditional tool making
· Traditional food and medicine preparation
About you:
· Identify as a Kokatha person.
· Be a registered member of the Corporation in accordance with Rule 5 of the Rule Book and a registered and/or a registered Common Law Holder in accordance with section 56 of the Native Title Act, the persons included by the Federal Court as the native title holders in the approved determinations of native title in respect of the Kokatha Lands or any part of them.
· Be endorsed by the KAC Board of Directors and KAC Culture and Heritage Committee.
· Have an experience or interest in any of the key deliverables and/or other services.
· Demonstrated ability to engage and work effectively with Aboriginal people and communities. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with all stakeholders.
Engagement will be subject to a National Criminal History Record Check clearance and endorsement by the KAC Board of Directors and CHC.
