We’re seeking Expressions of Interest from registered Kokatha members and registered Kokatha Common Law Holders who are keen to take part in a three hour Basic Hygiene and Food Handling course in September.
The course covers all the fundamental issues employees need to be aware of while handling food, and provides an overview of the Food Standards Code and what each individual’s responsibilities are within it.
This includes:
Personal hygiene and hand washing
Safe food handling and food storage principles
The causes of food poisoning
Temperature control and the 2 hour / 4 hour rule
Preventing cross contamination
Cleaning and sanitising
Government requirements
The training will be provided on Friday 13 September in Port Augusta at a venue to be confirmed.
