INDIGENOUS BUSINESS MONTH | LOCAL AND CONNECTED
October is Indigenous Business Month, and the 2026 theme, Local and Connected, celebrates the connections between Indigenous businesses, Country and community.

For Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation, this is reflected in the incredible work that our Kokatha Mining Services (KMS) crew does every day.

From road maintenance and water cartage, to transport and contracting, KMS delivers services across Kokatha Country, while creating employment opportunities, building skills and supporting the economic future of Kokatha people.

But behind every job, project and contract are the people who make it happen.

This Indigenous Business Month, we’re celebrating KMS and, most importantly, the people behind the business.

The photos below capture some of the team out in the field, showcasing the great work they do and the role they play in building an Indigenous business!

A huge shout out to our KMS crew – thank you for all your great work and commitment!
