BHP is currently advertising for Indigenous Liaison Specialists to help shape Olympic Dam’s future as a culturally and socially responsible organisation that is respectfully engaged with its Indigenous workforce.
The purpose of these roles is to support and promote professional development planning, by effectively engaging with leaders and Indigenous employees.
The successful candidates will:
Support and promote professional development planning, by effectively engaging with leaders and Indigenous employees;
Guide and support leaders to implement culturally appropriate initiatives to improve attraction and retention of Indigenous employees;
Provide culturally appropriate advice to guide business leaders and promote a culturally safe working environment.
Contribute to the building of cultural competence of line leaders through coaching and mentoring on Indigenous culture and matters that may impact Indigenous employees.
Engage effectively with Indigenous Employment and Engagement teams of the business to ensure alignment of activities within the IE strategy.
