Drilling on Lake Torrens has been suspended for at least 3 month and drills removed from the Lake.

 As a result KAC has withdrawn its urgent appeal made under section 9 of the Heritage Act, as there is no longer an immediate threat.

 This means we can focus on our appeal made under section 10 of the Act calling for the appointment of a reporter by the Minister to look into the matter. We expect confirmation of this appointment soon.

The KAC Chairperson and legal counsel will be meeting the KAC Culture and Heritage Committee on Monday 23 August to discuss these developments.
