Jonathon Fatt-Clifton has been elected as the new Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation (KAC) Culture and Heritage Committee (CHC) Chairperson.
Mr. Fatt-Clifton was voted in at a KAC Board meeting held in Port Augusta last week, jointly attended by CHC members.
A resolution was also passed that the bulk emails that have been sent out pertaining to be from the CHC did not follow KAC process and protocol and were not representative of the majority of the CHC.
Other items discussed at the joint meeting included:
◾Suggested names for the Oak Dam BHP mining exploration site.
◾Establishing a timeline for strategic planning and ensuring regular updates between the KAC Board and CHC.
◾Enhancing communication and procedural integrity in membership vetting.
◾Implementing better communication of CHC activities and feedback mechanisms.
