Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation (KAC) has allocated a record $2.7 million in funding to the Kokatha community this financial year.
The amount is double the $1.3 million that was spent during the previous financial year, and demonstrates KAC’s commitment to providing direct benefits to the community.
To ensure the longevity of the most critical Community Assistance Programs, some of the programs will be wound up for this financial year.
This will allow us to ensure there is adequate funding remaining for education and schooling as we enter a new year, as well as health and funeral funding.
KAC is extremely proud of the impact the Community Assistance Program has made and the substantial resources that have been invested into our community.
We remain committed to supporting Kokatha People and look forward to reopening programs in the new financial year, at a date to be announced.
