Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation is seeking Expressions of Interest from people keen to work at the Kokatha Pastoral Stations near Roxby Downs in the State’s north.
The role requires an ability to assist with day-to-day running of livestock and operational property matters at the Kokatha stations including:
◾security;
◾general property and equipment maintenance;
◾pastoral infrastructure;
◾checking water supply;
◾fence and water supply repairs; and
◾general care of all buildings, grounds and facilities.
Station Workers will need to work as part of a team to support the delivery of land management and pastoral programs.
They must also maintain a respectful and constructive relationship with Kokatha community members and stakeholders visiting the property, including:
◾ensuring visitors comply with all safety instructions; and
◾assisting with Kokatha community events, held on and off site.
Candidates must understand and always comply with Workplace Health and Safety requirements; and laws on animal management.
They must also ensure all practices on the Kokatha Pastoral Stations are professional, ethical and comply with relevant legislative requirements and professional standards.
⭐️ Person Specification ⭐️
Essential:
◾Demonstrated knowledge of livestock management and property maintenance.
◾Understanding of relevant WH&S requirements and ability to maintain high safety standards.
◾Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to build respectful and constructive relationship with Traditional Owners, Native Title Holders and groups associated with the station.
Working 5-6 days per week. Single accommodation with all meals and wifi provided.
Above award wage will be offered to the right candidates.
