In 2021, NAIDOC Week will be held from Sunday 4 July to Sunday 11 July with the theme ‘Heal Country!’
The 2021 NAIDOC local grants funding round has opened and we invite communities and community organisations from across Australia to apply for a grant to support your local and regional NAIDOC activities.
NAIDOC Week provides an opportunity for all Australians to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, achievements and continuing contributions to our country and society.
In 2021, the Australian Government has committed $1.4 million for the NAIDOC local grant activities through the Indigenous Advancement Strategy. In 2020, more than 500 organisations across Australia received funding to support their NAIDOC events.
Given the changing and variable impacts of COVID-19 across Australia, activities must be adhere to relevant government and health advice to limit the risk of transmission of COVID-19, particularly with respect to protecting elders and those with chronic health issues.
Information on 2021 NAIDOC Local Grants funding, including the application kit, is available on Grants Connect.
Applications close Monday 15 March 2021 at 8pm AEDT.
