Kokatha Heritage Services, operated by the Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation (KAC), plays a vital role in protecting and managing Kokatha cultural heritage across the Kokatha people consent determination area in South Australia.
The Heritage Services team provides a range of heritage monitoring and survey services to ensure that land use and development activities respect and protect significant cultural sites, artefacts, and landscapes.

These practices reflect our commitment to preserving Kokatha culture, maintaining connection to Country, and building respectful partnerships with project partners, government, and the wider community.
heritage surveys
Heritage surveys bring together Kokatha Heritage Officers, cultural advisors, and archaeologists and anthropologists to identify and record areas of cultural significance on Country.
heritage monitoring
Heritage Monitoring ensures the ongoing protection of these sites during works, with monitors present to observe and safeguard areas of importance.
REQUESTING HERITAGE SERVICES
To undertake any activity on Kokatha Country — including surveys, monitoring, or access for research, exploration, or development — a Heritage Services Request must be submitted to the Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation.
