KOKATHA/CARRAPATEENA PPE ART COMPETITION WINNERS
Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation wishes to congratulate emerging artists Presten Warren and Stephanie Singh-Highfold for winning the Kokatha/Carrapateena PPE Art Competition.

In recognition of NAIDOC Week, and to celebrate Carrapateena’s partnership with the Kokatha community, emerging Kokatha artists were invited to design a piece of art that will be printed on PPE shirts and worn by Carrapateena employees.

Entrants were invited to submit an A4 design around this year’s NAIDOC theme ‘For Our Elders’.
Carrapateena workers then selected their favourite two entries, which will be featured on the sleeves and bottom of PPE shirts.

The competition received an extremely high-standard of entries and a significant number of votes.

The entries that received the greatest number of votes were:

◾️ ‘Camping Under the Stars’ by Presten Warren, which is about respect for the environment, sustainability, communication and the importance of sharing resources.

◾️ ‘For Our Elders’ by Stephanie Singh-Highfold, which represents Elders past and present coming together in person and in spirit.

Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation would like to thank everyone who entered the competition and offer a special
congratulations
to Presten Warren and Stephanie Singh-Highfold. 🖤💛❤
