Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation is seeking an experienced chef or cook to join our tight-knit team at Roxby Downs Station, in South Australia’s north.
The successful candidate will have a chance to experience outback living and life on a working cattle station.
You’ll be working 5 – 6 days a week with single accommodation, all meals and wifi provided.
Above award wages will be offered to the right person.
Responsibilities:
◾Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious dishes for roughly 6-10 people each day.
◾Maintain a clean and well organised kitchen, abiding to health and safety regulations.
◾Ensure the highest quality standards in food preparation and presentation.
◾Provide breakfast and dinner with baked goods and lunch fridge stocked at all times.
Requirements:
◾Proven experience as a chef or cook.
◾Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
◾Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
◾Must be able to plan and cater for large groups during station training days and community events.
◾Experience with ordering and remote living.
◾Friendly and welcoming to all staff and guests.
